Nominees

CTAT Areas will select nominees for member awards by December 1, 2019.  If you are interested in submitting your name for an award or would like to nominate an individual, please contact your Area President.

Application Process

1. State Competition: Candidates begin the application process by nominating themselves (or being nominated by a peer) for their state competition. Nominees for Administrator of the Year, Career Guidance and Teacher awards are interviewed in person by the Awards Committee at the Winter Conference. Award winners will be recognized at the CTAT Awards Luncheon at the conference. Candidates must hold the appropriate position at the time of initial nomination (eg. be a secondary school CTE administrator if applying for the Administrator of the Year.)

2. Region Competition: State winners compete within their Regions. All state winners must have their applications uploaded to the ACTE Awards Portal and be ACTE members by the March 1 Region deadline (non-members are not eligible to compete at the Region or National levels). Region winners are selected by their Region awards committees and announced during their Region conferences.

3. National Competition: Region winners' applications are forwarded to the final round of competition within the Awards Portal by their Region committee chair. The national awards committee selects the national winners, which are announced at the ACTE Awards Banquet during ACTE's CareerTech VISION.
