The CTAT/ACTE Image Awards recognize groups and individuals from the education, business and industry communities who enhance career and technical education by contributing to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of CTE. Individuals or entities (from within or outside the field) that have contributed to the success and promotion of CTE, thereby positively impacting the image of CTE, are eligible recipients of these awards. CTAT/ACTE presents the following awards annually at the CTAT Awards Luncheon held during the TCEC Summer Conference:

CTAT/ACTE Business Leader of the Year—for leaders and executives from the business community who contribute to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of CTE

CTAT/ACTE Business of the Year—for businesses and organizations that contribute to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of CTE

CTAT/ACTE Champion of the Year—for any individuals or entities that contribute to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of CTE

CTE Showcase of Excellence  - for any district/program that represents best practices and excellence in CTE through community partnerships, sustained excellence, innovation, transferability, cost effectiveness, student impact, and/or membership/activities. *This is a CTAT state level award only.*

CTAT STATE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Each CTAT area can nominate two recipients for Business Leader, Business and Champion of the Year. Each area can nominate one CTE Showcase of Excellence recipient.
• A school board member, superintendent, member of congress, local advisory council member, post secondary educator, business or industry representative, district or program, or other persons who provide significant support to CTE programs in your area are eligible for this award.
• CTE administrators and guidance counselors are not eligible to receive this award.
• Area president or area awards committee representative will notify Lindsey Jost, lindsey@ctat.org if the recipients will be attending the awards luncheon at the Summer conference in July.
• CTAT does not provide travel funds for award recipients.

ACTE NATIONAL AWARDS

If your area would like to submit nominations to ACTE and participate in the national judging process, please see the procedures below:

Criteria
Significant accomplishments related to CTE that have contributed to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of CTE. Actions that have enhanced the growth and quality of CTE. (Note: considerations for the above can extend to sponsored programs, publications, financial support, and other activities.) For more information on how applications will be scored, please see the ACTE Image Awards Scoring Rubric.

How to Apply
All nominations must be submitted on the ACTE Awards Portal by the May 1 deadine. The application requirements can be downloaded here (note: this is not an application form; applications must be submitted electronically via the Awards Portal). Nominees compete at the national level only; winners are selected by the ACTE Awards Committee and approved by the Board of Directors in July. Awards are presented at the ACTE Awards Banquet during CareerTech VISION.
