Founded in 1999 as a nonprofit member-based organization, CTAT helps members provide equitable access to quality CTE programs that align with regional and state workforce opportunities. CTAT advocates for state appropriations and policies that impact CTE programs and the students they serve.

Conferences, Trainings and Events

CTE Program Evaluation

Data driven program evaluation, advising and training services are fee-based and include key finding, actionable recommendations, and ongoing support. Customizable services address compliance, funding, facilities, long-range planning, and systemic improvement.

Strategic Plan

The board of directors consists of CTE professionals dedicated to advancing CTAT's strategic plan.

Objective 1.1: Signature Conferences – Provide robust formats for networking and professional development to remain abreast of evolving trends and education.

Objective 1.2: Targeted Audiences – Identify needs and invest in the training of other positions, stakeholders and organizations associated with CTE.

Objective 1.3: Best Practices – Expand development and access to CTE best practices.

Objective 1.4: Resources – Enhance members-only access to valuable resources and program support.
Objective 2.1: Advocacy - Strengthen and recognize the importance and influence the advocacy team.

Objective 2.2: Grassroots – Support processes to help members remain vigilant and responsive to opportunities to influence favorable public policy.

Objective 2.3: Positions – Identify issues and develop CTE positions, establishing collaborative relations with allied entities, for instance workforce development.

Objective 2.4: Public Awareness – Expand the public’s understanding of CTE in Texas.
Objective 3.1: Outreach - Prioritize CTAT’s support for professional development and engagement of educators, i.e., non-members.

Objective 3.2: Partnership Development – Expand opportunities for partners to engage in CTAT (i.e., sponsors, exhibitors), aiming for a 30 percent increase in income.

Objective 3.3: Membership Support – Offer relevant benefits, cohorts, events, roundtables and recognitions that connect and service CTE professionals.

Objective 3.4: Brand Strength - Increase awareness and recognition of the CTAT name, impact, and brand.
Objective 4.1: Leadership – Identify and maintain the dedicated leadership to champion the association and profession. Support the CEO, and professional development of staff.

Objective 4.2: Area Memberships – Maximize support for area associations to grow membership by 5 percent net annually.

Objective 4.3: Financial Strength – Continue growth of conferences and membership to increase revenue and savings by 5 percent annually, exploring new opportunities to generate sustainable income, i.e., job board.

Objective 4.4: Committees – Expand opportunities and platforms to involve and benefit from the interests and expertise of members willing to serve on committees and task forces aligned with the strategic plan.
