NextGen Administrator Training
CTAT offers Leadership Training for CTE Professionals through its NextGen Leadership Academy. NextGen provides nine online sessions covering timely topics aimed at assisting members in delivering meaningful and effective programs within their local districts. Members actively contribute to shaping the session topics based on their input. The sessions delve into CTE essentials, legislation updates, certifications, funding, programs of study, and the significance of career and technical student organization (CTSO) participation. The academy allows for detailed discussions on each subject. Additionally, two in-person meetings are scheduled in conjunction with CTAT conferences, providing members with valuable networking opportunities. CTAT’s NextGen Leadership Academy is highly recommended for CTE professionals with less than five years of experience.

Trainings are conducted via Zoom, at 1:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month starting in September, with adjustments made due to holidays.

Leadership CTAT gives members a behind the scenes look at how CTAT operates and how they can become more involved as volunteer leaders within the organization.
Through this interactive series, participants will connect with CTAT leaders and explore:
- CTAT governance and operations
- Advocacy and statewide partnerships
- Volunteer leadership
- Conferences and events
- Marketing and member engagement
- Leadership goals and opportunities to get involved
Who Should Apply?
Leadership CTAT is designed for current and emerging leaders who want to deepen their involvement with CTAT. Applicants must:
- Be an active CTAT member for at least three years
- Have at least three years of experience in CTE, workforce development, or public education
- Demonstrate an interest in CTAT leadership and involvement
- Have support from their employer
- Commit to attending all required sessions
Participation is free, but registration is required. Attendance at all sessions is required to receive a certificate of completion.
CTE Statewide Roundtable
The CTAT CTE Statewide Roundtable is a monthly virtual discussion for CTAT members across Texas. Held on the first Thursday of each month, this roundtable provides a collaborative space to share updates, discuss challenges, exchange best practices, and stay informed on key CTE initiatives.
Participants have the opportunity to connect with peers statewide and strengthen their programs through shared insights and discussion. Registration links are sent to CTAT members each month, making it easy to join and stay engaged.
CTE Online Learning Portal
CTAT Learn is CTAT’s online professional learning platform designed specifically for Career and Technical Education (CTE) professionals. The platform provides self-paced online courses, professional development resources, continuing education opportunities, and industry-focused training to help educators strengthen instruction, leadership, and student career readiness.
Through CTAT Learn, users can:
- Earn continuing education credit through online courses
- Access free CTE lessons, tutorials, and professional resources
- Work toward professional recognitions and certifications
- Build skills in teaching, leadership, online learning, and workforce readiness
