CTAT Scholarship Program Awards $10,000 Annually

Scholarship Update
For 2008, CTAT over 300 exceptionally qualified CTE students submitted scholarship applications! Thank you for your participation. Applications are currently being reviewed by the CTAT Scholarship Committee. Notifications will be mailed out to all applicants by May 19.

CTAT recognized outstanding leadership, achievement and citizenship of career and technical students throughout Texas with cash scholarships named in honor of Myra Hasty and Dr. Pat McLeod.

Winners will be recognized in person at the CTAT Annual Awards Luncheon on July 23 at the Westin Galleria in Houston at the summer Texas Career Education Conference.

Best of Texas Awards and Scholarship Program

2008 Application Deadline - March 14

The Texas Career and Technology Council implemented the Best of Texas awards and scholarship program to recognize outstanding student achievement and contributions of excellence to career and technical education programs by alumni and community members. For each student award category, winners receive $800 and runners-up $400.

Student Award Categories:
Outstanding Student by Progarm Area
Outstanding Uniquely Challenged
Outstanding Special Achievement
Outstanding CTE Student - Guidance Division
Outstanding CTE Student - Administration Division

Alumni Award :
For former CTE students who have made significant contributions to the local CTE progam or programs.

Community Awards :
For businesses, organizations or individuals in the community that have shown outstanding support to local CTE programs.
