Texas Marketing Teacher LeAnn Dinsdale Elected to ACTE Board of Directors

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) announced last week the election results for new members of the organization’s Board of Directors, who will take office on July 1, 2011 and July 1, 2012. The new Board members were elected by members of the Association during its annual election from December 3, 2010 through January 1, 2011.

The results of the election include the following:

  • President-elect: Karen Mason, Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher at East Newton High School, Granby, Missouri. (July 2011)
  • Region I Vice President: Bob Scarborough, director at Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Development, Cincinnati, Ohio. (July 2011)
  • Marketing Education Division Vice President: LeAnn Dinsdale, marketing teacher at Tuloso-Midway High School, Corpus Christi, Texas. (July 2011)
  • Adult Workforce Development Division Vice President Elect: Andrea Pogue, an Adult and Career Development Consultant at the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, Stillwater, Oklahoma. (July 2012)

Also joining the above individuals on the Board in July 2011 are the following: Jim Comer, President; Lorri Carlile, Region IV vice president; Luke Steinke, Engineering and Technology Education Division vice president; and Jeff Johnson, Trade and Industrial Education Division vice president. As Region IV vice president, Carlile will represent the following states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
