Information on CTE Allotment for Advanced and Disabled CTE Students

Per TEA, school districts are entitled to an allotment of $50 per each full-time equivalent (FTE) student enrolled in two or more advanced career and technical education (CTE) courses for three or more credits or an advanced CTE course as part of a tech-prep program. The allotment applies to students in grades 9–12 enrolled in CTE programs or students in grades 7–12 who have disabilities and are enrolled in CTE for the disabled (CTED) programs.

Information about the allotment is located on the TEA website here. This page includes a link to the PEIMS data standards, the CTE advanced course list (of eligible courses), and the CTE advanced course FTE allocations.

Please note that students must be enrolled in two or more courses in the same year unless they are already coded as tech prep.

Districts must ensure the accuracy of PEIMS data in order to ensure the accuracy of the allotment.
