Thursday, January 31, 2008
10:15am - 11:30am
San Antonio
Take lessons learned from Dallas ISD to apply when opening a STEM academy based on existing and innovative career and technical courses that are connected to the workforce and provide college credit for all students, including at-risk. Learn about alternative scheduling, integrating project-based instruction in academic courses, dual credit course alignment, four to six year plans, professional development and using data analysis to shape the education delivery system. While in the first year of implementation, program results will be shared.
