Statewide CTE Educator Certification Program: Addressing Teacher Shortage

Teacher shortage is as real for education as workforce shortage is for industry, creating a critical need for recruiting and retaining quality teachers. The USDE recognized educator certification program developed by Region XIII is available statewide, with seven distance sites for training teachers. The program can be completed in under one year, is affordable, offers a mixed cohort of CTE areas and an excellent pass rate on state exams.
