The Texas Career Education Conference was held July 17 – 20, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX. The summer conference achieved record-breaking attendance with 600 CTE professionals joining the event!
The convergence of academics, career programs of study, theme-based learning and a greater emphasis on P-16 alignment are all part of the focus to generate a globally competitive workforce for Texas. The summer Texas Career Education Conference convened at a time allowing the Career and Technical Education (CTE) community to discuss these efforts at length.
This professional development opportunity attracted participants interested in the advancement of education relating to career and college readiness. Both secondary and postsecondary educators, including administrators, supervisors, counselors, teachers, specialist and more joined the event to network, share and learn. With the demand for a skilled workforce evolving at warp-speed, sharing tactics and resources to prepare our students is the key to succeeding.
