By the Numbers: Data Collection & Integrating Initiatives in the Valley

Partners in the Lower Rio Grande Valley have a long history of working together to improve student performance for a region that is one of the poorest in the nation. Of the 90% Hispanic school population, 40% come to school speaking little to no English. Through a collaborative approach, initiatives are closely aligned and partners collect and interpret data required for new federal Perkins legislation and for education planning and improvement.
